Reicht eine Gesichtscreme wirklich aus?

Is a face cream really enough?

I often get asked by my customers whether different face creams are needed for day and night. I'll tell you this in advance: No, not in my opinion. Skin care should be based on the needs of the skin and not on the time of day. A good face cream should definitely contain important antioxidants and vitamins for cell protection, intensive moisturizers, ceramides and plant collagens - a night cream ideally contains everything that makes an optimal day cream.

The skin type decides

Did you know? Our skin renews itself eight times faster at night than during the day. During sleep, the body produces special regenerating hormones that have a positive influence on the formation of new and healthy skin cells. The term "beauty sleep" is therefore not without reason. A good face cream supports the regeneration of our skin during the night and promotes cell renewal. Also good to know: A night cream does not necessarily have to be richer than a day cream. On the contrary, with combination skin or oily skin, a rich cream can encourage contamination and irritation. My credo is therefore: whether day or night - the respective skin type is always decisive for skin care.

Ingredients for skin protection and regeneration

The ideal facial care is characterized by highly effective ingredients that have a protective effect during the day and a regenerating effect at night. Plant collagen binds moisture, provides elasticity and makes the skin look smooth and fresh for longer. The natural power ingredient meadowfoam oil, with its long-chain fatty acids, has a pronounced moisturizing and moisturizing effect without having an occlusive effect. Vitamin A or vitamin C act as natural antioxidants against free radicals; for example, they reduce UV-related skin damage, improve collagen synthesis and strengthen the healing process and the skin's defenses. All of these ingredients should definitely be in a good face cream - and our skin likes it day and night.

What is the difference between a day cream and a night cream?

The difference between a day cream and a night cream is often just a higher proportion of moisturizers and UV protection - and this is not necessary at night anyway. The decisive factors for suitable care are the skin type, the skin's feel and the condition of the skin. What else should we bear in mind? We should make sure that face creams do not contain any irritants such as perfume, preservatives, dyes, silicones, so that no blemishes or allergies can be caused.

Adapting skin care to your needs

If you want the night cream to be a little richer than the day cream, for example in the winter months or for very dry skin, the face cream can be used with rich oils and serums as needed. This makes it possible to keep the care personalized and not to weigh down the skin unnecessarily or "over-care". My conclusion: A good face cream in combination with oils and serums is enough, because whether day or night - our skin always needs optimal care.

The Fineskin Munich all-rounder face cream RENEW me can be mixed with the nourishing oil serum ENERGIZE me or the balancing skin oil BALANCE me . The intensive hyaluronic serum HYDRATE me is recommended as a base. The modular facial care from Fineskin Munich can be individually adapted to the condition of the skin as a day cream or night cream.
