SALICYLIC ACID
INCI: SALICYLIC ACID
Salicylic acid is a naturally occurring plant ingredient with antimicrobial, analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects. The active ingredient salicylic acid is recommended for various impurities and for acne-prone skin. It is an acid that gently removes dead skin cells (keratolytic). The skin appears smoother and can "breathe" better, thereby eliminating keratinization disorders. Salicylic acid also has an anti-inflammatory and weak antimicrobial effect against a variety of bacteria and fungi and inhibits the development of microorganisms on the skin.

LACTIC ACID
INCI: LACTIC ACID
Occurs in the hydrolipid film of the skin and is responsible, along with other substances found in the skin, for stabilizing the acid mantle. It binds moisture and controls the keratinization process of the epidermis. Since lactic acid regulates the pH value, it can inhibit the growth of microorganisms that are foreign to the skin. Lactic acid is generally an excellent skin moisturizer and moisture binder. In higher concentrations, lactic acid is able to break down keratinized cells and dissolve comedones and is therefore also used for gentle surface peelings and in cleaning and care products for impure, acne-prone skin.
